1. Who is responsible for your data
Yummy Language is operated by the owner of this website. For privacy questions, access requests, or deletion requests, contact support@yummylanguage.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account details such as your email address and authentication identifier.
- Learning data such as completed lessons, saved vocabulary, review schedules, preferences, and progress.
- Profile details you choose to add, including a display name or avatar.
- Basic technical and security logs needed to operate and protect the service.
- Billing status and transaction references when paid plans are enabled. Card details remain with the payment provider.
3. Why we use it
We use account and learning data to provide the course, synchronize progress, personalize reviews, maintain security, answer support requests, and improve the service. Depending on the context, processing is necessary to provide the service, fulfill a contract, comply with law, or pursue the legitimate interest of operating a safe learning product.
4. Service providers
Yummy Language uses Supabase for authentication and data storage and a hosting provider to deliver the website. When server-generated pronunciation is requested, the phrase and language code may be sent to Google's text-to-speech service. Providers process data only as needed to deliver their services and under their own security and privacy commitments.
5. Local storage and cookies
The app stores authentication session information and essential interface preferences in your browser. These technologies are required for sign-in, security, and preferences; they are not used for third-party advertising.
6. Retention and security
Learning and account data is retained while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use access controls, encrypted connections, and restricted server credentials, but no online service can promise absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion where the law provides those rights. You can reset learning progress from Settings. To delete the account or make another privacy request, email us from the address associated with your account.
8. Children and changes
The service is not directed to children under 16 without authorization from a parent or guardian. We may update this policy when the product or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain available on this page.
